WHO MAKES THESE MOULDINGS ?
« on: December 02, 2018, 02:25:38 pm »

Does anyone still mould any of the models which used to be made by Boats and Models of Lingwood?

Perhaps if you name some of the hulls someone may recognise them :-))

think he's talking about a series of model fishing boat hulls. Ringers and purse seiners.

they were bought by Norwich model boats shop if I remember rightly, who then sold them on to someone else, but can't remember who they were

I believe that the range included a Flying Drake a couple of motor yachts (Baltic 36 was one) a large open steam launch with deck and several more.
I was told that Metcalfe Mouldings owned the masters at one time and they had sold them on, however that is only scuttlebut !
Thanks for looking
