Yes thank you I agree  :-)

Some might question why the vessel has this? in a towing role they have little choice but to follow.

In an ice breaking role then it's probably clear what you need to do as she clears a path, however maybe lit up at night it is more useful.

Perhaps it's a bit of fun tongue in cheek by the crew or Captain  :}

In any event it looks nice  O0

Hard to believe how long a wait it’s been for warm dry weather. However it’s coming back soon! So the inbetweener Mercantic will be shelved in preference to painting

Mind is set decision made. I'm masking up the lower superstructure tomorrow for the gloss appliance white. This will open up a whole load of reassembly especially finally fixing the upper levels together.
Continued warm dry weather will let me get the green on the hull.

So it begins let the Sun keep shining

A bit more masking to do for the forward companionway and the aft vent pipe recesses

Thank you Jason, me too  :-)

The superstructure is finally all screwed together I will have to weigh it but I'm guessing about 4kg.

Thank you Bill. The more I do the more I see to do  %%

At least if I get the green done I can spend winter adding finer points  {-)  unless I start something else  :embarrassed:  again.....

Possible half a day masking up, she's certainly going to be transformed in the next post  :-))

Thank you so much for sharing your build gallery. As a new builder I have learnt so much from your photos, and I will be trying some of the techniques I have seen on the restoration I am currently doing of a Slipways MV Conserver.

You ship looks amazing, and I look forward to following the build as you progress to the finish line.

A cold wind today so didn't get any paint on.
Some more assembly instead.

The big day RAL6001. It's been too windy really but plenty warm enough so I ploughed ahead.

Looks great.
I always find the last 5% the hardest to finish as my mind is already onto the next project. Hang in there.

Absolutely Steve but progress today is good because its all been sat in a drawer waiting for a simple paint job! The whole of May written off.
I have a secret though..... all of my models have 5% left  {-)

Anchors finally fitted and looking at flags
