Martin Howes and Baylis
« on: December 14, 2018, 06:51:47 am »

I was having a chat with a mate and we started searching for Martin Howes and Baylis, all we could find was a site making and selling the steam engines, does this mean that the models are no longer made or has another company taken over the business. If anyone can help with news many thanks in advance.

They're still listed on the JoTika web site.

Believe Martin Baylis Engineering is still in business producing engines . Hemmens at York produce similar quality boats and engines , albeit expensive . Trevor .

Marten Howes and Bayliss  still produce steam engines but have stopped making boat  kits.  John Hemmens has a web site listing the his range of wood boat kits . Very nice and expensive but I did hear he was retiring from manufacture and delivery has been problematic for some while now

Thanks for the information, its a shame the kits aren't still in production its not often that quality is available.
