:} :} yes it does, the only other bit that protrudes and only when needed are the booms for lowering the ships boats, they sit in the openings and when required two booms to each boat extend till the boat is clear of the hull side, then lower away handsomely.. Very stealth in its time.

The Mk3 version of the light landing system, MK 1 was the version posted earlier using just coloured lenses, Mk 2 used led but found them to bulky so now using 12v grain of wheat bulbs, very happy with result.
The scenario for all lights on is, flying stations have just been piped, carrier turning into wind and the light landing system, turned on, it is now self checking the system, hence all the lights are on.

Lovley bit of work Bob in my opinion just got to hope it don't get knocked off by a passin model  as I had the same type of freshnel landin lights on my Nimitz an it got hit on our pond so I fitted  it back on the carrier with pidgin rubber qauter " square an then when it got hit it just bent back an forth to its proper postion but your carrier lookin great be nice to seein her sail with aircraft

Not so much slowing down, as not enough time, work, then lessons to prepare, for teaching, also finishing one book and just had commission to produce one on HMS Bristol, to be ready by February, so just a tad busy.
Working on the air wing at moment as can do that indoors, also working on the side lift area in very short bursts.

So its not dormant {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

Thank for commenting
Wessex are 1/100 die cast
Same for some of the Phantoms
Buccaneer are a mix of Tamiya/Revell 1/100 kits

Thanks for that info Bob, I noted that a some of the Phantoms were the longer nosed F-4E variant, but I'd forgotten that Tamiya had done that one in 1/100 scale.  :-))

At the price 1/100 scale stuff goes for these days that group must have cost a bit!
