Help Please.
I am looking for a suitable material (fabric) to make my lifeboat covers from. It needs to be lightweight but strong and flexible.  Ideally a dark green but I could obviously dye or paint it. I been searching but so far but not come up with any material suitable . If anyone has ideas on this subject I would be obliged

Google SIG heat shrinkable Koverall.   Its a lightweight Polyester based fabric.  It takes paint OK.

An olive green cotton handkerchief  O0 ...cut & shape, then a light spray with an aerosol Teflon based fabric spray  :o

It will dry to and maintain the desired shape.......it will even display a light whitish wisp...just like the natural salt mist overcoat that real canvas exhibits from being in the salt air....
