Breakfast at Fleet Services
« on: September 24, 2007, 04:25:33 pm »

Saw this today in the Lorry Park on the M3. Hope it doesn't mean the rain is here to stay.

I saw it 6 - 8 months ago
It was on the M6 north of liverpool going south
I know it said slow moving but that is taking the Michael  ;D

seriously though I have seen a couple of lifeboats being moved around by truck
I thought it would of been easier to sail them to their destination

A clue might be the name on the back "Sennen Cove Lifeboat". Their website states they are equipped with a Tyne

http://www.sennen-cove.com/lifeboat.htm

You must be pretty nippy across those six lanes of the M27 Guy, If you were leaving Bournemouth and the boat was on its way back to Poole, you'd have been on opposite sides of the motorway. Or maybe traffic was very light, and you've got a very loud shout.

Doug,

I note from the news part of their website that they hope to be equipped with a new Tamar class in 2008 or 2009 and currently have a relief boat.

The life boat was on the North (East Bound) side so it was going away from Cornwall and Dorset!!

This was photographed in Feb 2002 on the other side. (It's not a lifeboat)
