Roy, it could be quite a while before international tourism gets going again, maybe even until a vaccine is developed. We'll just have to wait and see.
It seems that the A380 was not as popular as originally hoped, Singapore Airlines has announced that they will be progressively retiring their fleet, although Emirates, who are biggest operators of the type, say they have no intention of doing likewise. Airbus has announced that it will cease production of the A380 in 2021. It seems that the ultra long range and fuel efficiency of the big twins, particularly the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350, are making the bigger aircraft less popular. Qantas has already done non-stop flights between Sydney and London, and Sydney and Los Angeles, with their 787-9s, although they were lightly loaded.
Peter.
