I was just about to order more bottles but the price shot up to £41 plus delivery  %%

JD shot up too

Shackleton is worth a look, usually £30 in supermarkets but £19.99 delivered on prime

Just bought a bottle of Laphroaig Select in Sainsbury for £23. OK, not the best of the bunch but still Laphroaig.

Best Islay malt I ever tried was on a distillery tour to Ardbeg in 1999 or maybe 2000.  They'd just launched a 25 year old malt (think they called it the '74 or something similar).  Our tour was the last one of the day and we couldn't get into part of the distillery cos they'd packed up and gone home so when we got to the tasting bit as compensation our guide cracked open a bottle of the 25 as well as the usual 10yo, then left us with it. So glad I wasn't driving. Would have bought a bottle but £75 was out of my budget......happy days :}

Frequently sold for over £100

I'll make this last to my 70th

I've just had to re negotiate with Virgin media.
They warned of my discounts coming to an end that would lead to an increase from £27 to £44

Meanwhile my loyalty discounts are being offered to new customers  >>:-( >>:-(  where is the loyalty in that?

I use Freesat which is FREE and we never wanted a landline but previously Virgin charged you more if you didnt keep the line.
I just renewed broadband without a phone for £25 for 12 months, how times change
...argue with them, I just renewed my mums Virgin contract and partly because of lock-down, all data limits are now removed and renewing with them gave us an instant 30%+ discount.  We can't do without a land line (I can't imagine anyone who can) but TV packages are just absolute guff these days, buy yourself a DVR as they do what most can do on contract.  I just wish we could go back to 4 good quality TV channels but sadly not it seems!!!.  I also just renewed with talktalk and whilst they have been screwing me for connection the last few months working from home it looks like I'm now saving over 40% by upgrading now to pseudo-fibre* but more importantly , my upload speed has gone from as low as .1 to 15mb straight away whihch is close to what Virgin offer although, don't get me wrong, if Virgin ever expand the network I would take it in a heartbeat!!

*"city fibre" installed a new fibre cable right by my front door during lock-down but our area, apparently unlike other areas, there is no plan whatsoever to ever connect it to the system in the future!  So Ican't get proper fibre really.  Still stuck with BT openreach system which is pretty dire, unaccountable and un-contactable

We don’t have a landline. Two iPhones one on O2 the other in EE. 3data sim in HUAWEI 525 mobile router. DVR for free view. Stream anything we want on Apple TV and Netflix go binge. Miss nothing, no contracts, simples.
PS, we live on a boat and move all around the canals. If one company gives poor output we just swap sims.

If we win the lottery or a million on the premium bonds our new house will have a pond either man made or natural and friends will be welcome to sail.  O0

That is the best first week performance I've seen. BBC have done incredibly well to produce this during COVID.

Hi, re Srictly, the 2 young ones certainly put some effort into their dances and I thought the girl really had got that Samba spot on, that was good.

Best surprise though went to Caroline Quentin I would love to have danced that with her, real elegance and concentration.
Not been dancing for 4 years now, the knees finally told me it was time to stop.
We had just installed a new TV 2 hours before, so just in time.

I'm having 4 tyres fitted tomorrow to the by jingo. I think the dealer I bought from had valetted the car with a heavy lashing of diesel to the tyre walls as they are now so badly cracked I am not going to put them to the test at the MOT.

I've bought through ASDA tyres and chosen Hankook instead of Michelin that have gone down in my estimation in recent years.

It's a 2015 low mileage car, loads of tread but the rubber is PANTS  <*<  Same on the wife's car that I switched to Continental from Michelin for same reason> I hope Contis fair better.
The motorhome also has Agilis camping tyres, these now do a pathetic low mileage whilst the previous Michelin X would do 40k miles

Hankook always seem to have good feedback AND of course cheaper  O0

Bought 2 tyres for the Evoque recently (but of a shock as they're the first tires I've had to pay for in nearly 30 years since I drove company cars most of my working life).   Original tyres were Pirelli Scorpions, not the cheapest but I've stuck with the same cos I though 31000 miles was pretty good for front tyres.
