The Tepee is of a similar age Dec 2014 and also low mileage
It must be a design feature on modern Tyres as the last three personal cars have had to have the tyres changed at around 4 to 5 years old. The company cars never had this problem as I covered 40K plus a year
I dont think its just one make
The Tepee has had Lassa tyres on it who are part of Bridgestone for over a year and Iv not noticed any difference other than a slight drop in mpg maybe 2 to 4 miles per gallon at most. I did go for the extra load spec as its often full to the gunnels with firewood
Just so annoying having to replace them when they still would have done several thousand more miles
Happy new tyres
cheers

Must be my age  %%  Had to cancel tyres as they were wrong size. I just put my reg number into ASDA tyres  and it brought up a supposedly appropriate selection from which I chose.
In small print the page says please check your tyre size  >>:-(

So my wheels are 15" NOT 16"

I had to replace the Contis on my TT when 5 years old when only about half worn as they were cracking. I guess it's due to UV as I've got tyres in the garage which are much older and are fine.

As well as cracking I think they lose some of their elasticity as well as the new Contis give a better ride which with low-profile tyres and sports suspension is welcomed!

Just back from a late shop at ASDA.
Thought it might be less busy after 20:00
Not too bad but got the trousers pulled down at the checkout £166

That's because of the cost of the advertising campaign claiming they're cheap  <*< >>:-(

Could have shopped twice at ALDI for that

Recently a fault has developed with my car 7" multimedia unit. It has started rebooting whenever it feels like it. Also the ECO stop start has rarely worked for months now. So despite starting OK I was about to order a new stop/start battery but read on google that a BSI reset may be needed after replacing it.
This led to me googling BSI reset  {-)

So now I know I will try this tomorrow and see if the faults clear before splashing on an expensive item.

Tire appointment in the morning too

EDIT Bowmore No.1 is £20 in ASDA today

Having an idle few minutes I also googled BSI reset - sounds rather like "turn it off and turn it on again"!   %)

The thing I always dread is dodgy French electrics .
It could still be a battery prob as I found out on my last Renault. The system monitors the battery and if its not upto snuff disables the stop/start system. I did have the battery tested and another contentious thing is if you use a different battery the system has to be set to that battery . Should have kept the old minor at least you could always use the starting handle and use a radio to set the timing ahh those were the days well maybe
Luckily my Tepee is just before the new updated electronics but unfortunately has the 16 inch wheels as the tyres are a wee bit more expensive and Im a tight wads.
Iv used the Berlingo/Tepees for work n play covering huge mileages and the few elect probs have been easy fixes usually a simple reset. The last Berlingo did 240,000 miles with no mechanical probs although it was always serviced
Changing some of the interior/dash lamps can be challenging usually accompanied with copious amounts of swearing
especially the ones for the heater control switches.
I think they call it gallic charm . Cannot just blame the French as the wiring looms are or where made in the UK near Washington
At least you have a bottle of the good stuff to drown youre sorrows

Don't new tyres just feel so good O0

I've not done a BSI reset yet as it has rained all day so thought better to build the boat, I might need it!

Just announced tier 3 Leeds & Bradford. No idea how my MOT is affected as my tester is in Mytholmroyd  %%

Because of our over 4 ton van we use the same MOT tester for all our tests for quite a few years now and I don't want to use anyone closer that I don't know, too many rogues about.

Car in for MOT tomorrow. Hard to believe that our last two tests were in March and no one was wearing masks despite covid  %%

I don't understand why MOT's are so frequent in the UK still, cars are so much better than in the last century. I cannot remember the last time I had a fail

I wish I could..............  :((

My 2004 Signum has been SORN'd for almost a year now because one headlamp's reflector has gone dull. Can I get a new or replacement one? Can I thump! Vauxhall seemed to have fitted three different sorts of headlamp to these cars and mine has the most complex one of course. If they had any left in stock a new one would cost me over £400  :o  but they don't, and there just aren't any like mine on the 2nd hand market.

Have you tried via Germany. I don't know if this link will work but they sell for right hand and left hand traffic very cheap https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/vauxhall/signum/18133/10533/headlight-insert

Also try Autodoc
I have used them many times and I've just bought a Ducato wing mirror for my Left hand drive only £131 delivered. Full electric with thermo sensor.
Maybe best with either to message them with VIN number. They are not too fast replying but do eventually

there's loads of good, used Signum headlights on Ebay     https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=signum+headlight&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=4

Indeed there are, and I bought three of them during the past year, but no-one seems to know which version they have. NONE of them were the version that I need I'm afraid.  :((

I’m in shock
I noticed tonight that my whisky collection is all being depleted equally   %%
When I get to the bottom the potential cost is horrific  :embarrassed:

I think the only way to combat this is to replace one bottle per week via whatever is on special offer
