Hi Derek, Vegemite????? Never thought of that for breakfast! I have the Gold version of Yorkshire tea, much smoother so I will be introducing Oz to them next year, hopefully Feb 22.
I am guilty of smuggling tea bags. Having watched the Sydney airport customs TV shows I was very careful on my next trip and declared the rest of the peanuts in my snack bag from the flight over. She smiled and just waved me through, they were filming at the time, I suspect I am on the cutting room floor (nice CD that Cara Emerald).
But I got through the system much quicker and Andrew had only been waiting a few minutes. I am a convert to 4 wheel drive cases though so much easier to move around.
Just finished my brekkers, Croisants and marmalade. The French do have some good ideas, OK I know Brunel went to school in France. That's the trouble with the English, they think all you need to know can be summed up in a degree in the Classics. My son in law is currently a Programme Director here for one of the two most well known universities, post grad courses and trying to dig them out of the past.
Hopefully things will change and we will not have a Tory government as we had under a Mr. E. Heath with all his Etonian school friends in the cabinet. M. Thatcher used to say that Yes, Minister was her favourite TV show as it was so much like the way it was then.
Hey Ho things will change, I hope you are all keeping well in the antipodes. I think the current common crisis has brought a lot of political decision making to the surface as the effect of making rules and timing of them plus their effectiveness can be measured and is being measured. No hiding behind obfuscations and throwing dead cats into the arena!
Best regards
Roy
