Just checked the weather for Sunday dry with sunny spells bur may be a little nippy but on a thick coat.  Mount fleet models will be on site. The day is for steam models  but you can sail other types of models also. Some of our military modellers will be displaying tanks trucks. Free parking all day  trophy for best steam model. We hope to have many steam models on the water around 2pm  to finish off the days event.

Been watching the weather all week, frost was forecast with cold winds.  Fortunately no frost, but the wind was very cold.  It was ideal for our sailing colleagues who visited our Open Day.  Although the day was for steam powered models we had numerous electric powered models and sail powered models on the water.  Our military modellers had a large area for displaying military vehicles but they suffered from the very cold wind blowing down the park.  Our boiler tester was kept busy until 1 pm testing different types of boilers testing over a dozen boiler types.  We didn't have the usual grand parade of steam models due to the cold wind and the event finished earlier than normal around 2.30 pm.  We had people from the following clubs, York, St Helens, Leeds & Bradford, Goole, Mutual, Runcorn, Etherow and CADMA.  Traders on site were Mountfleet Models and new kid on the block Morley 3D Models displaying a nice selection of model boat fittings and of course the RNLI who sold goods to the value of £98.25.  We had no parking problems and the ladies selling hot drinks and hot soup were the heroes of the day.  Pictures to follow now.
