Website advice please.
« on: March 08, 2019, 09:45:19 pm »

Can anyone who has experience of creating a website offer advice please. I have the domain name registered with a company.I am not sure if it is the right company to use for our needs. So can anyone recommend a company which is neither too expensive to maintain, is easy to build and update and is good for a boat club site.
If it helps I think we would like to build a site  with around eight pages  which will allow me to make regular updates.
My computing skills are fairly basic.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I look forward to your comments.

Hi Bodger
I run 3 sites
I use Reg 123 and have no real issues, any I have had have always been sorted relatively quickly,  It really depends what you are after..
I use WYSIWYG for the web development.  and Filezilla as My ftp uploader.

https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/

If just after about 8-10 pages I think reg123 do a reasonable package

Hope this helps a bit.  Feel free to pm me, 2 of the sites are below n my Signature

Bodger.

Why not go the Facebook way, simple to use and instant.

This is the Model Boat Association Dover one, we also have a Website.

True, Facebook is 'free' and very popular but you have VERY little control over it.

Mayhem has a page on Facebook, - https://www.facebook.com/groups/ModelBoatMayhem/

...... it's for show mainly... you try searching for anything on it!   >>:-(
