Micro Magic 2014 build advice
« on: March 09, 2019, 08:45:05 AM »

Hello,

I am after advice/hints/tips on the best way to build the Graupner Micro Magic, 2014 version. This will be the first boat I have built for many years, the last one being a steam launch built from plans back in the 90's. Since then I have concentrated on RC aircraft.

I assume I am not the first to ask this question and there are probably many topics already in this forum covering this request.

Can someone point me in the right direction for the best one in this forum, or any web pages, you suggest I should read before I start building.

Many thanks.

Thanks Klunk.

I am a member of Watermead MBC in Aylesbury. I am planning on asking them today for their advice as well.

I am a great believer that the more info you have from as many sources as possible the better chance of an easy build and getting it right first time.

Thanks for the link.

If you Google Micro Magic some very good sites come up including one that gives details/video on setting up the sails and rigging?

Funny that you should have posted this, I have just been preparing my Micro Magic again to take out for a sail. Most of my yachts seem to be big and cumbersome but the Micro Magic is one that you can just so easily pop in the car for a quick trip to the lake and will still give you a truly great sailing experience...

Best of luck with the build and let us know how it goes..  :-))    This is mine...

try 2 islands it's not too far from you the Micro Magic to be honest has its limitations being such a small boat, there are new boats out now like the DF65 and DF95 which are becoming more popular with club racing around the country.
