Without popping then on my CMM (as they are three blades) my best estimate with a vernier is 40-45mm

Yep, welcome to the overpriced world of carp fishing  <:(

I've not paid that btw. This is a non working boat that someone neglected and then reverse connected the batteries and fried the board. Basically it's just hull now

You don't want to know how much people want for a handset lol...  £150 !!!

I'm an engineer by trade, mechanical not electrical but I'm no stranger to CNC electrics which is why I want to save a bit of cash and do this myself, a bait boat is just an RC model with a door in it after all.

Once I've got it running then I may add things like gps and autopilot. Quite looking forward to burying my head in the electronics and programming really.

I've got a full CNC workshop and several 3d printers to hand and some injection moulding machines too. So I've got the kit.

OK thread seems to have gone a little quiet.

Im considering the graupner 600 as a motor, ill be putting a pair of them in there.

now... as for an ESC ideally i imagine i would like a dual one? I will need PWM on it ofc.

power off the graupner datasheet is 230W 16A

Anyone tell me if any of this sounds right or am im getting this completely wrong?

bigfinger:
currently considering these esc's

Charlie:
Those look like Airplane controllers. You need to check that they have a reverse function, since some Airplane controllers are forward only. It's worth checking out what ESC's are available on Hobbyking.com
