Wanted to say thank you to everyone ; particularly Andy & Martin who helped me struggle through the photo posting process. Turns out to be straightforward when using Windows rather than the iPad. Now to wrestle the iPad into cooperating.  :}

I found that photos from my mac were rejected until I realised that the mac called them jpeg, shortening it to jpg made the difference, otherwise they were not recognised.

Yes, it is simple to do on the mac, just click on the thumbnail, and when the title of the image comes up just delete the offending "e"
mind you, it was driving me barmy until I sussed it (as with all things computer)

I use Paint Shop Pro for image manipulation.  It has one problem,  when selecting the image type you want to save as it automatically suffixes the image name with JPG.  This can cause all sorts of problems elsewhere.
So, I have to manually edit the auto JPG extension to jpg.  Once in lower case there are no problems.
