Hello and question about "swaps" section
« on: March 22, 2019, 07:16:50 pm »

Hello, I have just become a member.
I want to have a go at "boat" modelling and after looking at several forums this looks the job.
I left RC aircraft modelling over 25 years ago, so have knowledge of radio and such BUT not boat building.
I want to build a model from wooden kit, a speed boat rather than a cabin cruiser, i will look into choice later.
The question I would like to ask is about the swaps section. I read the sales section needs 25 posts prior is this the same with swaps.
The reason I ask is as follows, I bought a scale kit, victory models ,lady nelson. When I opened the box I new that side of the hobby is not for me.
So I might try to swap for a kit more to my skill level.
Any how, I will be asking question soon. Nice to meet you

Hi and welcome  :-))
Yes this forum is the most closely akin to the job  :-)
From what I can see in that section the same 25 posts still applies

Ask Martin,
A swap should be OK.
As long as it isn't a straight
sale you should be OK.
