My TVR1A, not yet installed in a hull, has the standard reverse rod and the course needed to go forward and reverse is very long.
I think you lready planned to check if your solution, with about 90° of servo latitude offers the appropriate long movement before finalizing your istallation

What you are not seeing is that Bernhard has taken the reverse bar thro' the square block and added another post to carry the reversing fork.
Yes the Bar as standard moves a great distance
let us say the arc is 90deg with an arm about 40 mm Bernhard's reverse lever is only about 15 mm long so it has less distance to travel and it does work.
Here is another example of removing the long reverse lever arm and making a short one on the other side, this does work as I have made it and I can assure that all is O.K. for forward and reverse. I have made a shorter bar and dispensed with the original bar as shown on the pics.
Pic No1 the original F/R lever is gone.
