The rebuild is coming along slowly today I masked of the boot toppings and air brushed them. I decided not to fit vinyl tape lots more to do before it sees water again.

Just found some red letraset  for the boats name on the stern. I am tying to rebuild this model to the same configuration  when it was first built. I seem to have set of a trend for lobster boats.

Perhaps me finding four kits had something to do with it

At the moment I am playing with different brushed motors. I have two that could be fitted will decide which to fit after sea trials are complete. Also this evening some minor mods carried out on the wiring.

Today I have fitted some more electronics  in the rear section. A voltage regulator  which is connected to the input  of the sound system this in turn feeds a very compact pump to simulate engine cooling. This was snap decision but while its apart lets do it. Pictures to follow this week

Glad you run into the same problems locating stuff! I know I have it but never quite where I thought I saw it last.

Trip to the store to replace it - usually the other one appears.

Nice work on this rebuild.

Hoping to refit the  mast head running light tomorrow and hopefully wire up. Inlet connection for the pump will  be in place also tomorrow pictures to follow.  These two threads should  be very interesting for all. One old model halving a major refit and a new build. See link to new build.

Saturday  the first full day of the C A D M A  model show.  Very busy lots of questions on my rebuild of the lobster boat.  I was asked many times about the small pumps fitted in both my fishing boats they are supplied from a company called T C S. These units are industrial grade and sadly they are rather expensive .

HI Guys   first group of pictures show the small pump fitted to simulate engine cooling. When the engine sound system is turned on  it also supplies power to the voltage reducer and then on to the pump. Output voltage is set at 2.8 volts  this gives steady stream from the outlet fitted in the transom. More pictures to follow showing work carried out after this major refit.

Not much done since the Doncaster show. Today I have started to repair the lobster boxes damaged  while been removed before the repair was carried out. I intend to make some more  to fill spaces at the back of the model. I am having trouble trying  to find some red letraset letters about 9mm high or waterslide decals. I paid a fortune for some letraset  which I think is very old stock and is fit for the bin only. Pictures to follow of the boxes.

Hi all found so red letraset should be with me early next week. I should be able to finish the hull next week and carry out sea trials to see how the new motor performs.

Just a few pictures showing repairs done to the lobster boxes and the trawl boards fitted on hull side.  The lobster floats have had the old paint removed and finally the rear deck section magnets now fitted  with first coat of sanding sealer

Stan,
 You might find this interesting.

I will also send to Andy. Do you think there is enough interest in lobstering to create a separate post?
