Just a few pictures showing my untidy work bench. A new servo mounting and the piece of new deck washed with washes. The floats now repainted  just need some dark washes applying.  The deck section may need some very light washes.

I continue to be amazed at the interest you folks have in lobster boats. Well on you. I hope both of you are following  the lobstering thread on RC groups Dock Talk started by Jerome Morris, a down Mainer. A lot of information and photos.

Well after 2 months the refit /repair is finished final ballast checks done this afternoon. The new motor is a little sluggish I am going to repair the old motor and refit  final picture taken in the test tank ( the bath). The pump to simulate engine cooling works a treat I have a video of this  but I have no idea how get it on to mayhem. The dinghy needs some attention hope to be all finished next week then back to the grey funnel line.

Well guys final set of pictures its been a tough job repairing this model but well worth it. Two months ago I had to decide should I scrap or repair this model it was a no brainer. Hopefully the all work carried out will last a further 30 years giving me pleasure for many years to come.

Fantastic job and like someone else mentioned the weathering is great, the intricate detail is perfect and makes it very realistic and you should be proud and please you did the restoration

When I closed this tread I forgot one thing  to show it back on the water so just two pictures from this morning. All looks well the old motor give a nice scale speed. Time to go back to the grey funnel line this is the very last post and very last fishing boat  I will build.

This morning at Kirklees we had two lobster boats on the water. My rebuilt model and the new build by Taranis. We may have set a trend to build this model.

That is the way the boats of that era looked. Skippers had little time to tidy their craft. ok2
