SF Edwardian launch
« on: April 08, 2019, 02:30:52 pm »

Hi,

I have been given plans for a Selway Fisher Edwardian 26 steam launch. I have been told that this is not suitable for a beginner to attempt . However after finding information on the internet regarding plank on frame construction have made a start on the hull.
If anyone has undertaken this build or has any further information it would be gratefully received.

Thank You

I can't recall that particular launch appearing on Mayhem, but there are several build logs of plank on frame hulls.  The Steam section seems a good place to start, as there is Jim Pope's Chimeara build and Jerry's steam launch Wear (just put steam launch Wear into the search box at the top of the page), as well as others.  They should give you some steers until someone turns up who has built the Selway Fisher launch.

Have fun

Greg
