Fittings for this propshaft?
« on: April 14, 2019, 03:46:26 pm »

New to the hobby so a lot of stuff regards fittings and connection are lacking.
I got this propshaft because it was the correct length, I have no idea if its the type for a electric submerged drive speedboat ?
I have not chosen the motor yet so have no idea what the motor shaft dia will be.
I do not know what the norm/best way is to connect the motor to shaft?
I picked up 2 ,the brass one seems basic! The ball drive seems much better BUT the ball socket part fits the propshaft BUT the cup part has a very large threaded hole,i think this might be for a engine?
I have to buy props and do not know what the thread is,its not metric? might have got a non usable propshaft.
Any help from the pictures please?

The shaft is 3/16 inches so you'll have to buy Imperial props.  Rivabo does a number of their brass props for 1/8 and 3/16 shafts.

I'm interested in tiny versions of regular size things.
