Paint ain't Paint
« on: April 17, 2019, 11:57:05 pm »

Some 8 years ago, our OZ giant home wares retailer Bunnings released that they now has the exclusive distribution of NIPPON paints from Japan...and so they discontinued and returned all cans of paint from/to the manufacturer Dulux  :o

....but this rosy relationship only lasted about 9 months [just like a pregnancy  {-) ] .......then Japanese paint disappeared from the shelves and British Paints appeared as the replacement at Bunnings

Now the wheel turns again and yesterday the management team from Dulux announced their recommendation that Shareholders accept the $3.8 billion takeover bid from NIPPON

What was interesting all those 8 years ago, was that the paint from Japan was manufactured from ocher pigments sourced in Australia O0
