I've bombarded RB with emails and they can't be arsed to even acknowledge.  >:-o  They are almost out of stock of very many things so I'm inclined to think they are closing down.
Almost a year ago they said they would be doing a production run sometime. Clear as mud

I think manufacturers are missing a trick here. These shackles are sought after world wide and the supply has completely dried up.

Andy....did you create an account with RB in your name first?  :embarrassed:

I do agree, RB's stock position appears near non existent  >>:-(

I see you are after plain D shackles 7x4x1 which are out of stock

Bow shackles 7.5x4x1 are listed as available

I just went to the correct WEB site for RB Models......followed the directions from the Home Page.....

Created an account in my name........logged onto to my account in the following page & placed some shackles 23.88 EUR> in the Basket.....

WEB site totally functional, no hitches, no glitches...it appears you need to be logged in to your account to browse correctly %)

Scroll down on this page.  Shackles are below the turnbuckles.  I bought some recently and they are good.

I would have called RB directly by now, there is a phone number on their site.

That won't help. They have no stock until they do another production run. Unfortunately RB are the world wide supplier to retailers who also have none. They replied to my email about a year back explaining that. Unfortunately given the amount of time it looks increasingly like they are not bothered.
My appeal is to those who might have some in their drawers that they will part with.
I have 12 I let 4 go to Jim Pinner to finish his Severn.
I have already told RB I will take 100 straight away should they become available

Given their lack of response to emails it is highly likely they didn't receive them, a phone call would at least let you know they got the message.
I have resorted to that several times in recent history with companies such as Pen & Sword who never respond either. But they are great on the phone.

I know they are getting my emails but like other companies I know they can be selectively deaf
Phoning them will not speed up the process

Not too sure what sizes you want, but I have just bought several packets from China via E-bay.  Only a couple of quid per packet and they come with a meter of chain, the chain is dreadful but the shakles are brilliant.  search on "Tamiya truck accessories".

I've been using RC 1:10 Crawler shackles which are also available in brass and are quite cheap to buy. The Tamiya ones are the best quality but plenty of companies out there are making them at the moment.
For under a Fiver you can normally get a set of 4.

I've got some somewhere, give me a day to dig them out and I'll get some good quality pictures of them if you'd like. Happy to throw one in the post if you'd like to try before you buy, Taranis?

Sorry but they are too big 7mmx4mm is the size scale is not relevant as in each scale there are different sizes just like the real shackles
The truck ones are like towing shackles and far bigger than for lifeboats railings

Thank you though  :-))

Ah got you, my apologies. Right well I don't give up that easily. I'm sure I've seen some smaller sizes for attaching branch wires etc to offroaders. Let me do some more digging.
