Tug 'Peninsula' arrives at new home
« on: April 24, 2019, 09:43:19 pm »

Two years late but not too late!

Here's a drone video of the ex-RCN tug Peninsula of 1944 arriving at the old paper mill dock in Marathon, Ontario, where the local museum hopes to use it as an exhibit and tourist attraction... the less said about that, the better.   {:-{

Well, I REALLY do not like to say Itoldyouso, especially when the subject is my avatar, but...

As it turns out, hauling a 110ft boat up a steep hill costs money!  Money which isn't forthcoming from any level of government, not outside of their little corruption rackets anyways.  I figured the preservation group didn't quite have their heads around what a formidable job this was.
