Hi John I have two of these units still to fit. They look fine but like all electronics each will have its plus and minus issues. I also have the Action unit and they have been fine. You pays your money and makes your choice.

hi there

yes I have four of the 'older version' of these :-) so, what I will say, they are as good as - if not better - than what there is on the market at the moment.   I have fitted them in paddle tug 'Forceful' 'HMS Norfolk' and one to be fitted in my present build which I am busy doing - and I am very happy with them.   It's a case of what suits you.  If you put them in , I personally think you will be very pleased with them - just remember to follow the instructions  :-) I only wish he did the kit build version again.

As you look at the picture of the internals of HMS Norfolk, you will see - on the right hand side a little box with red labels on it.  This is the old mixer unit.

Hi , I've not used one these units of Alan's, but if there anything like his sound, switching and other units you will not have any issues. I've found his units that I've use to be reliable and well made.

Thanks for your comments guys. After reading the instructions I am going to opt for the
Dynamic setting wich closes the mix down at faster speeds to just rudder operation.
