Is there a good reason why people have throttle on left and rudder on right stick ?
Iím thinking to be able to film and take photos it would be better to have rudder on throttle stick
Andy
For goodness sake don't go there! It's like asking what the best make of car, TV, microwave or RC gear is.The concensus seems to be that people who started with 2 channel "stick" radios are used to throttle left, while many converted aeromodellers will stay with throttle right if that's the way they flew their aeroplanes. Naturally there are exceptions to both rules, which makes life more interesting.

So itís not set in stone then  :-)
For the benefit of tomorrow only Iíll swap rudder to throttle stick  :-))

Itís not a left or right stick issue so much as both on same stick

Sailed absolutely perfect. Turns on a sixpence like a club 500.
Full throttle is quite believable so a good guess with 750kv and 7.2v NiMh
Produces a great wake behind.
Very difficult to film with one hand
Sail causes no problems at all.
I have reverse on the ESC set to 25% this is not enough, will try 50%

I watched the video on Facebook this morning. It looks great under way. You have done a wonderful job there.

Thank you  :-)

Iíve just had a look at the static version kit 953 that I have on my shelf
The pulley is present but a rather out of round crap white metal offering.
I also noticed the lobsters are the same size so quite a good catch  {-)

I may just build this  :-))

Next time out I will try the 3s LiPo batteries for fun and at least 3000rpm extra  %%  a 4volt difference nominal.
I will have to add a piece of lead sheet to each battery

Lobster traps tip

I had several attempts at soaking the strip with isopropanol as instructed and the wood would not bend without snapping.

Plan B soak in boiling water, I have an instant hot tap.

No problem then  :-))

Some of Mac's mouldings. Tubs are handy as moveable ballast with lead shot
