It's worth putting in the effort to round these off along their length. Once fitted its quite a transformation. Roof ones to do then windows. Also looking at other equipment for the roof

Yes centre thanks
I ruined the first and again with the second the top edge of the film folded back underneath itself and I could not rectify it but barely visible when blathered  :-))

Those who know my history know of my aversion to windows  {-)

This model is ages 14+ so I'm not going to embarrass myself  :-)

The front windows are to go on the outside and the sides on the insides.(to the instructions)
I've discarded the provided very old glazing supplied and I'm using this

So I've made paper templates of the fronts to help cut glazing exactly to fit the openings with no overlap.

Then I've used my own stock of wood to trim with cockpit glue

Perfect fit
only two more of these

I've been unable to be free of marks on my glazing  :((  but by the time she's sailed a few times I guess it won't matter.
Now three side windows to do internally

Andy Try some toothpaste to get rid of marks on the glazing BUT TRY it on a spare piece of glazing first....it works well on Car headlamps that have gone cloudy.

Thanks Dave but absolutely any attempt to remove marks with anything other than breath will create more marks. It will be forgotten with usage  :-))

Yesterday I bought some Graupner Nav lights Aero type and I'm now looking for a suitable sized enclosed radar.
She sailed great on Sunday so no changes to motor or batteries. HOWEVER steering in reverse is a bit hit and miss especially to port which I put down to LH prop
I've decided against a water line and just taken advantage of the morning Sun to give a final ALL OVER of matt lacquer

Those would not be legal on a vessel or an aircraft
come to that. Rivet Counters would have a hissy fit
seeing those on a vessel.

Gents,Very nice jobs on your builds. Weathered and spanking new, both look the part. About the cats though... you are aware, no doubt, that on this side of the Pond, we use fish for bug bait. I fear your cats will end up in a trap as bait {-)

Why do so many boats have a stand for the Radar that leans forwards. Does it somehow relieve the wind force transferred to the roof
