I couldnt pass this by without taking a photo so I nipped home  for my camera.   Vic 32 stopped for a brief rest in the Caledonian canal @ the Muirtown basin, Inverness.   Not many of these oldtimers left but this one is doing work of a different kind,  ferrying tourists around, see the windows on the side of the deck hatch / hold.   Photos taken last Sunday.

Sorry, I don't have any more pics but I will have a hunt around the web at the weekend when I have more time and I will post links to other survivors.

I have a few more taken when she arrived from the West Coast.  More info on www.savethepuffer.co.uk  I had a walk around on board but camera battery gave up so only two pics of engine with it`s new boiler. None of the passenger accomodation in the Saloon which used to be the hold. Check out the steam driven gramaphone on their website !

I love the gramaphone but did you checkout the bottles of malt on a shelf in the back ground.

I can just imagine being sat there in the candle light, listening to the music with a large make that very large Speyside in my hand.

PURE HEAVEN.

Thanks for the pics Colin H.
