Speedline Models
« on: May 08, 2019, 12:36:15 pm »

Since I am best known for lifeboats I thought I would let you all know what is happenning to Speedline Models here, on the lifeboat section.
Firstly, I am getting older, 72 on the 3rd of May. You may recall that about three years ago I took on a guy called Mark Read. (He and I made the patterns for the Shannon mouldings). We buried him last month. He had a lot to live for.
There are a number of others too who have died in the last couple of years and it makes me think that maybe all the things I still want to do will not get done simply because I'm running out of time.
There are other things I want to do before my turn comes so I have to wind down Speedline somehow.
Selling it so that it can carry on is my preferred option, not for the money but for the sake of the modellers out there who like my products.
My Grandson Toby and I had been discussing what should go on the site when the big day came and a draft was written. In error, it was put up on the site. Not his fault I might add.

This is the important bit:
Until something is sorted, Speedline will carry on just as before. The website has been reinstated and I assure you all that before I do retire or kick the proverbial bucket , I will introduce a new 1/12th scale semi-kit of a 12th scale Trent Class lifeboat.
Well, I hope that clarifies the situation? if you have any questions please email me, not on facebook or messenger please, it takes ages for me swapping from one to the other.
[/size]Best regards to everyone

You managed so much, and I'm sure you'll find the best solution for yourself and the modellers who like your kits. You are so much dedicated.

All the best to you, Adrian!

This is good news as the website will not load and I was worried I may have missed the boat...Excuse the pun. I am new to model boats and really would like a 1/12th scale lifeboat. They seem very hard to come by.
Thanks,
Matty

Been away for a long time, just trying to track down Speedline Models but can not seem to find them on the internet, has Adrian finally decided to give up?

Just to add my best wishes to Adrian in his retirement. I enjoyed meeting him and he was really helpful in my build of his Speedline 1/12 Tamar.
