Which Servo for my build.
« on: August 20, 2008, 01:12:50 pm »

Okay, many are familiar with my 1:16 scale build of Brave Borderer under Warship Builds. I have made the transom flap and about to connect up the rudders.
Being a fairly large model and a fast one at that, I am not sure if I should use the standard Hitec Servos HS-311. On ebay I can purchase HS-475HB's at a good price..

Does anyone have any suggestions on which servo to use or maybe another of Hitec's range - Space to fit is not an issue....

I would have thought there maybe quite a bit of shock loading from the trim flap so you may need quite a tough servo, especially if you are not using any kind of lever or mechanical advantage linkage..... do a search on ebay for MG995 and see what you think. And for larger servo, search for - or HS-705MG Eurgle 43g
