Model railway Rebuilt.
« on: November 20, 2019, 12:51:35 pm »

I read that the model railway club that was smashed up by hooligans has been rebuilt after a sum of 100,000 pounds was raised,
10000 of which was donated by Rod Stewart.
A nice ending I thought.

Do we know what happened to the youths responsible ?  Were they or their parents asked to pay any compensation to the modellers for the damage caused ?

The current British Railway Modelling (BRM) magazine has an interview with some of the club members about their experiences and what they are doing with the money. The money has been put into a trust and is being used for youth projects connected to model railways.

They were convicted and fined, not a lot though; a good public thrashing would have been far more appropriate in my view.

If it keeps Spammers out I do not see the issue.

Liverbudgie you might be an n 'gauger I think?  The questions last for about 10 posts or so. Sometimes you just have to keep trying to get the correct answer and stick with it. Its similar forum software on here but with  different quirks and updated differently.
