Your model(s) have to be at Warwick for the full three days, if you do not belong to a club, like me and want to exhibit at the show the model(s) can be put in the loan section. Which is what I am doing, the organisers insure your model while it is at the exhibition.
I have got this information from the organisers, if you look in the springer tug section you will see there was a similar conversation a little while back.

Just got the floor plan - we've landed the stand next to the pool again >:(
If you see some one wearing ear defenders it will be me trying to ignore the hovercraft. I really don't think they belong in an indoor boating pool.
I will be there Friday and Sunday.

Martin,

Don't think it would help much. It only shows where the stands are with ours highlighted. No names on the others -it doesn't look any different to last year in terms of number of stands.

i have just heard from our colleagues in the hanwell club, the organisers of this show have sent out exhibitors passes to them valid for only 2 days...so if you plan to be present at the show for all 3 days then you need to purchase a ticket to get in for one of the 3 days....

they are now very dissapointed,  our club have not yet had our entry passes but if you are there for 3 days supporting their show then surely this is not right ?

the ill feeling this seems to be causing in the hanwell club  meant at one stage many modellers were talking of boycotting the show, a 200 mile round trip each day and then having to pay to enter to steward the exhibits....

like i say i do not have first hand experience of this only what i have been told... any other clubs got their passes - and are they only valid for  2 days out of the 3 ?
this is especially annoying as you MUST exhibit your model for all 3 days this year ...........

I have  had exactly the same thing for having my springer tugs in the loan section, I do not belong to a club yet. If you want to be there for three days you have to pay for one of them.
What your club members did not say was, you can use this pass to bring in a visitor, in doing so you will then have to pay for two days, not one.

I have not had experience of this show so thought it was the norm.

in years past you got an exhibitors pass that i used for all 3 days, - that was fine ....and appreciated.. i went all 3 days when possible, i used to spend in the canteen ( anyone who knows me knows i like my food too ! ) i used to spend with the traders and also talk to visitors to the show and promote the hobby....

i used to arrange a hotel locally and stay overnight.... this is no longer an option for me so i drive daily...

so having taken the friday off work, to go and take my boats up to the show as they have to be there all 3 days now  ( in past years if work refused the holiday request i would show sat and sunday only - something you cant do now)

plus the return trips to  drive on the friday, sat and sunday and i now have to pay to steward my own exhibit- it starts to put me off, its going to be a very expensive weekend for me to loan them my exhibit for their show !

as i say our club do not yet have our tickets, but if what i hear is true then its going to be more cost effective not to dispaly ....... i guess the clubs that are more local benefit but i would think twice about the 3 x 200mile round trips to steward at the show. especially if i need to pay to get in...

is this show going the same route as beale..... warwickshire show used to be one of the best, i hope this does not signal the end of era and the start of the downhill trend....

so let me see if i get this right. you have to exhibit for all three days or you dont get tickets. the tickets only allow you free entry for two days so you have to pay for one days entry.
if this is right then i am incredulous. exhibitors are the lifeblood of shows. without them shows die. as beale park has been finding out. if you treat exhibitors badly they go away and don't come back.
i know from experience that you have to keep your exhibitors happy.
for those of you that don't know i am an organisor of one of the countries biggest model shows.
i hope that we are seen to treat all our exhibitors well and properly, we give them free entry to the show for both days with also free entry for a guest. we give free camping for those that need it and we throw in a dance and entertainment on the saturday night.
that is why we had 15000 paying customers over the weekend and why hopefully everyone went home happy and will come again next year.

What has been reported is not entirely accurate. If you are exhibiting you get a pass which allows you in on Friday OR Saturday, plus Sunday. Each club is also allowed to nominate 3 Stewards for each day in addition to the passes for exhibiting members - these could be issued in the name of an exhibitor.

Its not a problem for our club - no-one wants to drive to Leamington on three days, or to spend 3 days on the stand. One group takes the models on Friday and collects on Sunday, another group steward on Saturday. Everyone's happy ;)

I just found out I'm going ot the UK for 8 days for work, and will have the weekend of the 10th free.     I'll be in Bracknell, so it seems reasonable to get to the show by public transportation.

I've never been to the show before-- any advice or recommendations for a first timer?

your best bet mybe to go by train to warwick, then get a bus or taxi to the show, not to sure on what public transport it like in that area.

Bring lots of cash!
Take lots of photos.
Don't rush around, take time to study the more detailed models.
The restaurant has probable the best "British" food available.
