That's just how I built the original Tiger, Hermes and Phoebe, Victorious done same way but plastic card instead of the sheet ply.
My Tiger has traversing 6" that's squirts water, bridge lights, nav lights, mast light, gyro controlled stabilisers, flood lights, rotating radar and white/red battle lights and a really loud foghorn {-)

HI Bob yes that's what im planning to do the same on my tiger as you did an  I did on my  uss Nimitz in  1/144 an hms Edinburgh in 1/64  hms York in 1/64  an hms Norfolk in 1/72 scale  some don't like to see all whistles an bell's on a model but hey that's what the real ship has :-)) . So the models are more realistic an have you got anymore pics to show of your tiger close up to see the detail ? as I would like to see to help me in my build as I had a close friend who dieded of cancer an he said to me you never can have enough pics for info to build an I found he was right
all best chris   ps are all those builds that you have done on this site ?

I love seeing plank/sheet on frame models being built, there is something very sculptural about them.  I like the technique for giving you room for the saw blade to cut the hull  :-)) :-)) It inspires me to get on with my models  :}

I protect things I don't want to stick with cheap brown parcel tape and peel it off after. Tried and tested, nowt sticks to it. Works for building boards also.
