Chris
Again from MoD model, hope this clarifies, its not to difficult once you see it. note how close the radar is to the mainmast.

Oh dear........a GWS20 Seacat Launcher.... {-)  ....terrible units to maintain......no spares.....bad documentation  :((  ....poor reliability

Their best chance of colliding with something was a large fish when the rockets motor ran out of puff  :o  ....or burnt a hole in the deck if a Missile did not release

AN in the main mast the radar motor's  gearbox to radar shaft  started slipping as the old collet i fitted wont hold the shaft tight enough >>:-( <*<  as the tiny grub screw was damaged so i stripped out the motor (thank goodness i made all this to come apart for servicing ) an refitted a new brass collet with a good Allen grub screw an now it wont slip no more as its very tight

This will be superb detail for the Search Radar.........will it be painted?, or chemically blackened to maintain the delicate structure?

I wish you well with your radar build. That looks like an epic kit, which if it is designed well for easy construction, will be a work of art when completed.

Chris
Once you study it there is not a lot in the way, if you make the cabin, virtually all the detail ias on that, ford you have the intakes on the rear of the aft funnel and aft of the cabin is open space till you look at main mast.  Hope this makes sense.

I have used several different manufactures of the bedstead, and they very very simple to build, just need steady hand and patience

an all the wires that are fitted will be fitted in a tube to stop them gettin tangeled up on the main radar shaft an i was nr a nervous wreck after doin this as the wires are so thin they will break very easy if pulled to hard so gently does it
