Hi Chris, just following on from your question regarding the direction of rotation for HMS Tiger Props. Unfortunately, I have no idea which way they turned. My gut feeling would be Outboard turning, but I have no definite evidence to back up my suspicion.

Following on from all the which way do the props turn, my Tiger has all four turning inboard, and she sails and handles extremely well, so if it aint broke don't fix  :}

HI Bob an cheers for your intrest an answer regards props rotation on your tiger as you say if not broke don't fix an very true too but im a fair way off thinkin about the props as still building hull but I like to ask people just in case they might know.But regards my hms Norfolk  type 23 THE PICS that Nige put on the other thread  clearly shows if zoomed in on the props an just by lookin at the blades angle I can see that the type 23 props do go outwards so that's different an as my props on my model do go outwards   im right so no need to fix as you say very good advise cheers  :-))

Chris
If it helps any we were discussing prop rotation on Sunday....
As people say tugs go one way for manoeuvrability and warships the other for speed.

We looked at numerous types of warships and dry dock pictures and found there was
NO set rotation of the props!
We even found sister ships with different prop rotation....

Unless you find a picture of the props of the tiger then go with whatever suits!

HI all well ive been busy on the build for the last month or so tryin to build that weid shaped stern on tiger refit an its been a real devil to build as my plans are 3mm out so ive had to keep splittin the difernce on measurements. But I think I beaten it an built it still a bit on the rough side until its F/G an filler applieded an then sanded down so still a lot more to do on her before I can say hull built but im getting there
AN in the 1st pic a plan shot of what ive been tryin to build over the last month

IN this pic all the rear hull frames will have to be cut out again to allow for the appertures cutouts to be cut into the hull an its a very tight space to fi
