Chris looking at the ship and remembering from close up at water level, and looking at my plans I have never seen that rectangular piece before, mine looks shorter at the green tap forward marked edge of main armour belt, it then reduces in height till it would agree with your plans.  aft does the same and ends just by second cutout.

Some images I hope might help  The model shots is the official model of Tiger.. I have two editions of Jecobin plans and neither show it, it could be armour to be added but never was,  the drawings for Victorious are like that, heaps of lets add this but in the end never added.  My belt nearly covers the whole length and the other bit on your plans would be visible on waterline

HI again Bob it looks like my plans are wrong  <*< >>:-( an you are right  :-)) NOT GOOD CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAID FOR THE PLANS   well you live an learn normaly the hard way >:-o .  But  many thanks  :-)) on that again you are a star  :-)) well that's a relief  as I don't now have to build an fit the bloomin armour belt in them postions on the hull.So what I can see of it the A-belt  starts at front on hull just below the start of the bridge an finishes just before the second aperture or cutout  judgein by your green tape marks  so that's what  I will do an build it like that .Just as well I jionded this forum an met you as you've been really helpful an saved me a lot of work regards that A-belt an I cannot thank you enough for you help regards that radar as well an the execlent  tiger badge great stuff cheers I know I wont need them for a fair while but ive found out that in this model  building game from  building my past models  get as much info as possible while you can as it might not be there later an I should think you are the same Bob many thanks

WELL on the stern hull sides  nr 1/4 deck an flight deck ? or are these hand rails fitted for the hull painters ? but if that's the case why no hand rails on the rest of the length of the hull ?

Chris ah I see what you mean now I can look at images, assuming you mean the verticals, to be honest I have no idea and have tried for years to discover but to no avail so far.

Well Bob I think the vertical hand rails are for the hull painters as if you think about it  as the hull curves outward as it goes upward   ive seen pics of sailors hangin over the hull edge in tiny chairs from ropes paintin the hull  an they can use the handrails to pull themselves closer to the hull when not much to do like a punishment put onto jankers I think the term is as that the punishment terms in the RAF don't know about navy though an when I worked as a civvie up at RAF COLTISHALL it was  unless anyone eles knows different ?

HI all well the tiger build continues
an here a couple shots of the bow  as I wanted to make the bow very strong in case she hits the concrete sides of our pond so I fitted light wheigth balsa wood in the openins an then I pourded resin in to make it strong
