ChrisHope these are of use, note the original funnel layout

OH cheers Bob just what I was hoping for as I had a friend looking at my build and he saw the stern pic and said to me be nice to see how the rest of the ship layout is and it is for me too, many thanks
and I'm managing to fit that armour belt Bob but it took a lot to do it 3 bits fitted so far and one to go but it's been a devil of a job trying  to bend the wooden armour belt to the hull contours but I'm getting there

HI again Bob I hope you don't mind me asking this question but if you do please ignore it but where did  you buy the turret gearing and motor mount in pic as I know I'm a long way from needing it but I always like to look ahead on things I might need
all best chris

Chris
The bits came from a dead Hen Long tank, but due to the new turret, that system has now gone, all I have now is the barbette which is obviously hollow with a servo fixed underneath and a shaft fitted to a servo arm which was trimmed so it was a force fit into a plastic tube, this is located into the the turret roof, this allows easy removal if required, the servo is fitted with a turret servo control from model radio workshop, this little device allows you to traverse and when you let go of the stick the turret stays in that location, it also gives you more left and right arcs and you can set servo speed as well, all in all it works fine.  Next time I drag her out I will do happy snaps for you

just a small update to say the build continues and after much steaming to bend  the 3mm armour belt on all four bits are fitted to the hull contours took me two wks and I would not want to do that again in a hurry (phew)

After being away for a bit I come back and see what brilliant progress you have made on the hull Chris! SWMBO didn't look impressed when you took images of the hull upright. It is possible she isn't a Cruiser fan? Perhaps more interested in Destroyers??

Pics!!!

Go to your "ibb ...bla bla page".  Click on "embed codes" to the right of "about" under where it says "Frogman2" under the pic, click on "BBC code", 2 or 3 options down, right click, and "save" then....

"Paste" conveniently...  Also, you need a new "g" and "d" buttons on your keyboard LoL!  Never seen it done that way before with pics, usually you just use the "image" button, and paste the link in the pop-up box but whatever, below seems to work perfectly and very easily if it helps for pics on further posts....

I've never seen such a contrived image link above (without pic on the original post so I can see the links) for a forum before, but nevermind, it seems to work easy-peasy! (edit, apart from overcoming the "mayhem auto re-arranging format" on posts LoL).

Looks a cracking build anyway, if I can ever add that comment to this post ("A" WYSIWYG thing doesn't always work!)!

HI RST
firstly you made me laugh at your blog but I'll explain why it's happening like this as first I'm not very good on computers as getting on in yrs and second I live in a low megabyte area an my pc won't upload very well and it's very slow at that. And Andy has very kindly said he would upload pics for me if I can put up the image link and that's what's been happening and will have to do if I want to show the tiger build

HI Ballastanksian  thanks for your brilliant comment  :-)) on my hull progress but it's been so far a hard build due to the hull shapes and contours. As been steaming the wood so to bend but I have enjoyed the challenge of the build as this will be my last big build due to health and age (get out the violins  :} ) lol an regards SWMBO she's not smiling in the pics as she has got cancer an not very happy. But she has her good days so just got to make the best of things ain't we and keep plodding along
