HI Bob yes im pleased with how the build is comin so far without any major problems an regards the large exsposed keel well. When I scartchbuild a ship hull I always think when finshed she maybe top heavy no matter how light the materials used to build S/S an such so the large keel is a half an inch deep an I can fit a half x a half inch  metal counter balance wheight at its furthest point on the hull to counter any anti rolling of the ship.An it looks ok nice an neat not a big ugly blob of lead  as in my time ive seen several people make that mistake on new ships an seen them roll right over an sink.Plus as this hull is not a F/G hull as they are stronger as you well know the bigger keel is more stronger to take the wheight of the big batts an such  how' that for an esplaination ?

HI Bob when you built your 1/96 tiger did you have much trouble fitting in the A FRAMES ? as my plans are miles out the top elevation an the side elevation an the rear are all up to 6mm out of alinement an its givin me a bloomin headacke  >>:-( as nothin lines up. <*< So I suppose i'll have to split the difference ? yea  id apprecait a reply if you can please  an its the curveature of the hull also givin problems tryin to get the mearsuments
right but I will do it as I like a challenge but if you give me any advice it would be most helpful

No problems at all Chris, apart from the normal making sure all alignment is correct, I have attached couple images showing mine, remember that the prop shaft length if to short will make the exit angle to steep, hence CVA-01 has shaft two foot long to sit right, and they run really quiet.
Hope the shots help if not shout out.

Cheers for the reply Bob an I know your tiger is 1/96 scale an I see you have very short sharfts  as on my plans I have had to  fit 16" inner sharfts an 15" outer sharfts to keep the props level an not pointing down  an on my plans it show the sharft length that comes out of the hull at 6" but what im havin probs with is the angle of the A FRAME on one sheet it shows the frames are angled nearly flat to the hull an then on another it shows the frame nr upright nr like yours so I think I will follow your design an cheers for posting the pics  :-))

Chris hope these clarify it for you, the drawing if I recall shows stern view and the amount of splay out of props.
