AN IT all is ok as the red anti collision lights work ok so now i can press on to the hardest part an that fitting the wires to the mini electric plugs as this mast will be able to be just unscrewed an lifted off the hangar for serveic in in the future

HI Bob thanks for your nice comments an no the wires go through the brass box section cross member the supports are solid brass AN ive been studying the deck pics up nr the hull jiont an i think i will have to use a bit of moddelers licence an not do the cut out for where the whale boat are fitted as if i cut the hull here it will weaken the hull as its right near the hull jiont so i think i will have to have the boats mounted on either side fitted on the main deck

Chris
I reckon that as the major cut is on the top deck, you should not have an issue, I guess the bit that is cut down on the hull sides is the issue

HI Bob yes you are right as on the sides of the hull where the whale boats are on there derricks thats where the main hull spars  strenghener are an i darent cut through them as remember the hull is as thin as paper to save on wheight  so i think id better just mount the boats on the main deck top only way i can see unless i do the cuts an try an strenghten the hull after but it will add wheight an not be strong so the jurys out on that

HERE the main mast now fitted to the hangar bay an its now taking power right from the hull so the 5 electric plugs that I've have fitted all work ok an its not finished by a long chalk but will finish this over the winter time now I've got the basics built as i now want to get onto an do the front foremast as I've just fitted a bit of masking tape to represent the big radar to get a little idea of if things looks about right an I'm happy with it

HI ALL  update time on what I've been doing on the model
an still on them masts but they are near finished now as just the actual radars to make an fit the safety railings on both masts but this will be done over winter time as I'm struggling to finish both parts of the hulls before the cold whether get here an here the masts have extra bits fitted on an painted in their top colours
