Looks to be a good straight line to me as well Chris.
On the bow photo I think there's a very slight bit where the black has crept under the masking and onto the grey.  :o

I'd hate to see you go ahead with the lacquer and then have to rub it down again.
Hope you can just touch in the grey over the black ok?

Hiya Chris, well that's good news about the pencil marks, thanks for letting us know. Just glad it's all ok...
And you're right to leave the hull paint to harden off.  :-))

HI Dave yea i was lucky to get that nice spell of fairly warm an sunny wheather as my wife jen said get your ship ready now as i had to paint humbroll maskol over all the porthole glass an there was quite a few to do an that took a half a day an then markin  out the paint  lines so i could spray paint her an yes im pleased that the outcome was positive an now im letting the paint harden for a few days or so an then all the decalls an then 4 coats of  clear lauqer sprayin to give it all a good hard coat hope to see some more work on your burke when you can

COR many thanks Bob that shot of the crane will be very helpfull to me as im now building it but ive had to fit my cable pulley wheels  in side the jib as i have  had to make my jib hinge in two so that the crane jib fouls back on its self  as its quite big nr a foot long so when in transport it wont  get damaged an im hopein to fit some led lights on the end of the jib as on my plans it shows two lights pointing down for the operater to see what he's lifting  :-))

I caught up with your build at the two year mark and thought how much work you had crammed into two short years! Everything is lovely about this build. from the brass work to the finish of the hull. She'll be a marvel on the water Chris!
