AN HI Bob yes i have consiidered an multi switcher unit but the one i was looking at you had to work the switcher from the R/C sticks back an fourth an as you switched on one unit it swiched another off an that i dont want as i want everyhing on if i want not just some thats why ive gone for my cam switcher idea as with this idea i can have just a few thing goin or all an i dont have to touch my R/C sticks at all as its done through the knobs on the R/C T/X
hope you both as best as can be
ATB chris

Chris easy to run from your set, you just use one of the several 3 way switches and you can have as many things running at same time as you like or not as these units can be latching or non latching.

No Chris, a three way switch will control an 8 or 16 multi switcher easily, had it on mine before now and will be using it on Victorious, all you do is set the latches on the items you want, then flick the switch the appropriate number of times till that item comes on, so if you wanted say a water pump to run continuiously and it was item 5, all you do is flick switch 5 times and it will run, turn off flick switch 5 times and off it goes.

not sure why you would constantly be switching switches though, I use it to turn something on, say nav lights unit is electronic so not much danger of failure the ammout of times it would be used,  horde for courses though, I love em as they are relaible but better still tiny which is a bonus.

Hi Chris,

I know your not keen on using a stick to operate the SW unit , I use the units to turn  on, Radar, nav lights , helo, lighting in several areas and they can be Swtch on or off as required. As the units work on a quick movement of the stick, I still can use the same channel for another standard operation. As Rob said the electronic there is not much danger of failure as they are reliable. Yes as Rob also said “but better still tiny which is a bonus”.

mine is from a different maker BUT they are all the same and virtually use the same chip, I also have a 5 ways sound effect switcher which works same way except obviously you only use one sound at a time

HI ALL well im back on my tiger build since bein ill
an the next steps in the build is to build the what i call them  cam switches an as my T/X has two knobs so ive built two lots of cam switches an there is 5 switches on each cam X2 so i can work up to 10 things on tiger seperately one at a time as the cam turns so they all will be on togeather or i can then back up an turn things off as i go
so a linkpic of the cam board an here ive already built one an its all working ok an now im working on cam no.2

AN the cam is just a plastic gear that has been ground down with my dremel ginder so there is a low point on the cam where the switches will be in off postion an then as i turn the  micro servo the cams high point closes the switches so power can flow through them to what ever i want to work an here im now about to drill the hole in the base to allow the micro servo to sit down propebrly an be screwed in place

Yes Chris I use the UBEc to power the lighting and the Helicopter on Roosevelt. BUT Don’t over load it by running high amp items.
