AN then i thought hang on a minute as id better paint the interior a dark matt green so thats what  have done
https://ibb.co/qJdGprj

an when i get the tiny eletric motors i will hope to fit in the tail to make the rear tail rotars spin round an anouther indea ive got is to fit a tiny hinge in tail so that the tail plane will swing round like the real one so that the rotars wont get broke in transport to an back from the pond

Hi Chris, ref the hinged tail section - is that because it hangs over the stern when it's extended?

You've got some brilliant ideas for this model and it all adds to the realism.

This is one fantastic build to follow - lovely job.  :-))

HI RAY  well regards the hinged tail section no it wont be over hanging on tiger as it will be in the flight take off postion its just that as the real chopper does that i thought well i would like to add that to my model an another reason i want the tail section to swing back is it will proteck the tail rortars in tranport

an yes ive goin to try out my ideas as i like the realism with lights as it brings the model to life rather than just a static  as i lit an have my melin goin on my norfolk an here it is but it runs both rotars will go lovley
https://ibb.co/qmLMXg7

AN Ray im glad you are likeing the build so far but still a lot to do on her

Crikey Chris! Motorising the Sea king is enough and then you go another two levels illuminating and adding a hinge to the tail!

This model will be amazing (well it already is) when completed. A real labour of love.

Hi Chris, just managed to catch up on your build! Fantastic work! Your Heli has more working parts than my campbeltown! I'm looking forward to seeing how you construct the folding tail. Will your tail blades rotate too?

HI Dan  yes helo is comin on an yes the tail rotar should work like my merlin helo does all im waiting for is the small 3v motors with a 3'2 mm thick motor an then i will drill out the tail an fit the motor in an the red flashing  2 mm  led on the tail top an a white led in the rear of the tail i think it is an then a hinge fitted an by rights it should swing round like its folded up for storage in hanger but also to stop the rotor blades getting bustered  when in transport an any more work done on your ship ? as i keep looking or has work got in the way ?

Hi Chris;
I also used to adopt mini-motor seen in the pics for my two Seafire fighters for 1/96 Fencer.
I bought them at Akihabara, Tokyo at around ¥200 each. :-))

YES Kiyo thats the motors i have sent for but i see yours are 4 mm in diameter but the ones i have sent for are smaller still at 3'2 mm  dimameter so the smaller they are the easyier they are to fit in the tail as a seakings tail is very thin so even with these smaller motors i'll stilll have to use filler to fair them in so not to look to lumpy but will see when they come
ATB to you Sir an keep on boating an we are havin a gala day up at norwich pond on aprill 24th so im praying for nice wheather as there normally quite a few nice big models up there

That'll look great Chris! Are they powered from batteries inside the hull of the ship or will you fit a small battery somewhere inside the Heli?
Campbeltown is coming on very slowly. Work and family life have slowed progress, I'm still working my way through the stanchions but I'm lucky if I spend a hour a week on it at the moment unfortunately.

HI DAN yes the helis motors are powered from inside the ships big 12 amp hr batt that drives the main motors but there is a voltage reducer fittied in the circut to the heli motors to reduce the power from 12 v down to 3v  an they pick up the power from gold pick up pins fitted into the flight deck an the helicopter can still be lifted off for transport i'll show how small the motor is for the tail rotor when i can take some pics of them as they only arrived today an sorry to hear you dont get time to work on your ship but a little is better than none

Hi Chris;
Your onboard heli is well-craftsmanship and looks complicated from the structure of heli like to install neatly the wiring work in the fuselage.!! :-))
While mine was rather simple to work in the 1/100(not 1/96) Super-marine Sea fire fighter. :embarrassed:
1;Only set a mini-motor to spin the props directly
2/3;And modified the landing gears to get them a switch for spinning the props
4; Push-down is ON while a pull-up a bit like this is OFF position and could be removed if necessary.
5;The plane was pushed down to the deck for taking-off with spinning the props and the flaps were fully down as well. {-)
 And wheels were just off the deck and afloat !! {-) {-)
I have set 2 prop-spinning fighters,the other one is waiting for take-off with spinning the props at the rear deck. :D
Looking forward to your refined lighting and rotor-spinning helicopter on the deck.!! :-))

Great ideas from both of you for hiding things like power and support structures! Not easy on diddy models even with minute motors etc.
