Profile electric outboard
« on: June 14, 2019, 09:50:57 am »

I made this from a cordless drill that I was given after the owner lost the charger for it. It has right angle drive and uses speed control switch and reverse switch from the drill, mounted in the handle. Home made prop. Runs from car battery or 17ah golf trolley battery. Not exactly fast, but it moves my 4 man dinghy.

Who cares about speed. Looks good, Andy. How much do you figure it cost you?

The right angle drive was £8 odd, the rest was stuff I had already. It is done in same colours as my evinrude 9.9hp. (1984 vintage, rebuilt from 2 dead motors)
