Lucky you didn't start a bush fire...... <*< ......... sadly, if the vessels must go.....there must be a better way of disposing with them.... Derek

It was too big at over 7 feet and the fire was safe enough it was all garden waste.

Is there not a club or something locally you could donate them to? I know my club would love to have a few group projects on the go.

What a shame - why not list what you don't want on here for someone to take on to finish?   Burning seems such a waste of all that effort, time and materials.

It is ok to build these large craft because you want to do it and lets face it , they do look better on the water. But the problem occurs when you decide enough is enough and put them up for sale, then you find out everyone is getting older as well and downsizing too. It does seem a shame with all the work that has gone into building them. Been there and got the T Shirt. nemesis

Personally I find that a bit repulsive. I've thrown lots of things out but not "bragged" about it. If I have something useless to sell folk bite my hand off on gumtree, nothing of any value I've listed gets even looked at on there but the minute I post unsellable tat they've been queuing up. I sympathise though, it's not always easy moving things on.

It was the liner had I known I would have offended so many people I would not have posted it.

Really would not worry, it was your Model. Unlickly any one would have wanted to take on such a large Model, a bit like The large Titanic, I would love it and 20 years ago would have been daft enough to say yes, but now I realise my size limits and all the work which would be involved in launching such a model..
