The answer is obvious. If climate change is caused by too many humans then we need less humans - there must be some recycling options.

I've been saying this for years Colin.  There are simply too many people on this planet now and it cannot cope with us all. Its a question that world leaders just won't go near but its the simple truth.

Yes unfortunately all we hear is tales of how to produce food more efficiently for the growing numbers.
No one but us on the ground realises that growth is not sustainable and yet the TV adverts are full of the "for just £2 a month" brigade.
It will just cause yet more wars and as the fossil fuels run out probably fighting over that too.

In India the sacred Ganges is heavily polluted from rubbish discarded by worshippers. How ridiculous people are  %%

Big business owns governments - each extra person is a potential consumer/taxpayer - for the globalists, more is better = more profit.

Earth will survive the infestation it currently has. We could all die tomorrow in one disaster or another and the planet will just carry on as if we were never here.

It is a sad thing that is happening but as has been shown by fossil records it has happened many times before. This time it is a species causing it as opposed to a natural disaster. Life will return and a new species may rise to the top. I actually agree with David Attenborough that our species needs to be controlled if it wishes to survive.

Yes and the only country to impose birth control has since withdrawn it.
We are overcoming life threatening diseases too to add to the survival rate.
Sad to say we need a world wide epidemic to drastically cull a good 60%

Start with the ivory poachers and Rhino killers and those who pay for it. Cull them all.
Then empty the jails of murderers. Rope is cheap enough

I think you meant Soylent Green! The Solent is usually a dull grey...

Looked at objectively, the human race is a runaway infection on the planet. One possible hope for the future is that as nations develop in prosperity the birth rate tends to go down. Whether this will bring about an eventual balance, who knows?

Most of the 3rd world takes massive amounts of antibiotics for the slightest sniffle.   With billions of people crammed into unsanitary housing and international travel so easy, it's a time-bomb waiting to happen.   The first proper, nasty disease that becomes antibiotic resistant, it'll be an unstoppable world pandemic.

In America where antibiotics are over prescribed and are even given for viral infections we are already having to deal with resistant strains of bacteria. The over use of anti biotics in our food also contributes to this. Most people in 3rd world countries don't even have access to treatment let alone basic medicine.

I heard a good idea on Radio 4's 'Genius'........

To help prevent rising sea levels ... stop people throwing stones in the water at the seaside.

.... If that's not enough, pull some whales out!

The 3rd world grossly over medicate with antibiotics that they buy online - it's also very common in East Asian counties too - China is an up-coming self-medicator of antibiotics.   It's their ultra-dense population centres that will be the breeding ground.     The US has more of a recreational drug problem - people literally medicating themselves to death.  There's no evidence that antibiotics in food survive the cooking process.

I’ve just come to realise what separates a town from a city.
A real city has a minimum of six branches of Greggs in its centre
Linked to foot fall and carbon footprint

Moving away from the drop dead gorgeous bald woman, and I could be up for that.  One gets to a certain age and some of the criteria for affection etc. can inevitably slip.
Anyway Back to the subject, my favourite at the moment is the unintended consequence.

A recent Horizon prog. on clouds has suggested that the extra and more violent storms and huricanes could well be down to the sea getting warmer, well fair enough we accept that.

But they suggested from measurements taken that the reason the sea is getting warmer is because the air is less polluted of late.  Due to human intervention, reducing carbon emissions etc.

So we may need all these long haul flights to get back to our accepted 'normal'!
I am going to book my next ticket soon,
regards

Roy

If you look at what is going on in the world. China has poured more concrete in the last 3 years than the US did in the entire last century.   :o

Germany is going to build 6 coal-fired power stations in the next couple of years.  %)

If any governments were at all serious about global warming or climate change or impending new ice-age - or whatever is being pushed this week - they would be acting to control populations and plastic waste.

Instead, the whole 'weather fear' project seems to be about enforcing social-control experiments.  %)    Ensuring the drones comply with petty rules about bins - backed up by punitive fines that are way in excess of any punishment for stabbing someone or mugging an old lady or supplying class-b drugs.
