Hi  I use Paint shop Pro, and thought (like you ) that patching together sections of a large print would be straightforward. No way.  I have found in my printer setup menu (I have a cannon printer ) in page setup if I ask for a "print size" larger than A4, then a different page opens allowing me to print over more than one sheet. When I asked for a print preview the PC did its "own thing" for almost 2min (thought I'd crashed) but in the end I got an A3 print on 2 sheets of A4.
Don't know if this helps your  problem,
 Best of luck

Hi Madrob!
I've found that the best way to print out plans is to convert the Photoshop image to a tif format and then import it into a document created in Freehand, which is extremely 'printer-friendly', allowing you to tile the plan on A4 or A3 pages. Fortunately I have access to a Mac at work, which probably has an edge on PCs when it comes to this, but I stand to be corrected!

If you don't have access to Freehand, Adobe Illustrator works just as well, and probably CorelDraw on PCs.

Hope this helps!

Regards, Glyn

Hope no one minds me pointing towards another forum, but Model Ship World has a good tutorial on this subject.

There is Microsoft Publisher which works, when you request a poster print.

You can decide the width of the overlap.

Find out what programme your local print shop uses and convert to a compatible one.
A pro shop can print straight off a paper roll, so limited to 100 metres.
75 inches no problem and you have one piece plans.
