Paddle steamer hulls
petermun:
I have been searching high and low for a source of paddle steamer hulls as I want to build from scratch. Can I? No. Has anyone any info please? Thanks, Pete

Colin Bishop:
Scratch building normally means building the hulls yourself. If you are willing to tackle that then there are lots of interesting paddle steamer plans available.
Usually the practical problem is either sourcing or contructing suitable paddle wheels. Otherwise it is just like any other build except that commercial paddle steamers had very narrow hulls so you really do need to keep the topweight down to a minimum for stability.
