JohnV's PBR
« on: June 24, 2019, 08:48:18 pm »

At request by John V I have taken a photo gallery of his excellent 1/10th scale PBR at the Northampton & District MBC Open Day.
Enjoy.

Hi it's John V glad you like my pbr pibber took a lot of building being 1/10 scale but your Dukw looks great I must have built four or five Dukw over the years .a very hard build to do .getting everything right .you have done very well ..Just testing different Jet drives .at the moment to see how thay perform..the trouble with Jet drive's you get what you pay for . Cheers tom catch you later John V

Was tempted by this John but no Jets only the Motor. Had to ask to find that out though  it is there  between the lines in his write up

Hi Jaymac it's John V it looks like there's no Jet drives .he is converted it to  prop and it's only one servo for ruder as you know for Jet drives you need two servos one to turn nozel the outher for revervce buckets it's been changed two single prop.the outher picks are what it use to look like cheers John V

Hi John  the original  was jets as I said  the only clue  that says it is not As Is  is the mention it goes well when jets are fitted. Was only when I asked for clarification he said  there is nowt but the motor and he had removed the jets for another project. there are some good Vids of others models on utube
Cheers

Hi Jay it's John V thay look a nice boat it's a pity he changed that one .the add is deceving .so I don't think I would pay the money for that one .the thing is I am testing different Jet drives at the moment for model boats .and yes thay are good in nice clear water .what I am finding is thay are good hovers for everything else .and can soon block up .and a nightmare to clean cheers John V

Hi Jay it's John V that's why I put my pbr on prop .because I find it all depends on the water you are sailing on the worst thing is weed fishing line string .like you said feather's it's just your luck really .but cleaning the grill can be a problem .but we keep trying.its much easier with a propeller to untangle . depends on where you are sailing cheers John V you can't win them all
