The Bigg Weekend 2019!

Aug 24, 25, 26

Public · Hosted by The Star Tugs Exhibition and Midland Railway - Butterley

Join us at The Midland Railway - Butterley as we celebrating 30 years of TUGS with our annual Big Event over the Bank Holiday weekend, 24th, 25th and 26th August.

Our event will once again take place alongside the ever popular Victorian Train weekend which showcases a fantastic set of vintage carriages and sees railway staff in period dress.

Be one of the first to see the newly updated Exhibition carriage both inside and out, which will be open from 10:00 - 17:00 on all 3 days.

View all 18 original character models, 1 replica model, video footage and various production props from this original live action series including photographs and scripts, created by the same production team that brought you the original 1980’s Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends TV series.

Be one of the first to view “Big Mickey” for its first time ever on public display alongside the “Ocean Liner” both originally from TUGS that then became part of Thomas’ world. Both these models appear courtesy of Mattel Creations and Clearwater Entertainment Limited.

Entry to the Tugs event is £1 per Adult and Children go FREE but must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.

There will also be a separate special evening event that takes place on the Saturday and then repeated on the Sunday evening at 17:15 both days. Tickets for the evenings are £10 each which cover the day time as well.

Tickets for the evening are limited to 22 guests per night and will be subject to a completed event form.

More details on the evening events will follow soon.

Vulnerable guests must be accompanied at all times.
