Can anyone recommend any model shops in Berlin?
I’m mostly interested in a good selection of tools and fittings.

The only one I know of is,

Berliner Zinnfiguren & Preussisches Bücherkabinett

They're not a RC model shop but do regular kit as well as their speciality, model soldiers. By all accounts it one of the longest established shop in Europe and might be worth a visit. Check out their website and Facebook page.

When I lived there in 1978 there was quite a good one, just south of Templehof Airport on the west side of the highway. He had lots of plastic kits as well as some R/C gear and larger size boat kits and stuff too.

I checked on Google Earth and it looks like he's moved, but not far away.
